Arizona Events to Support America’s Vets this November

This November AZBio is partnering with great organizations that support our Veterans and also providing information on how Veterans can be trained to become valuable team members in our life science businesses.

America’s Veterans have contributed so much to protect our freedom.  They also contribute in many ways inside of our industry every day.

Join us for family Fun on Saturday November 8th at Salt River Fields and then for an Educational AZBio After Hours with MVPvets on November 13th.

Watch AZBio’s 2013 Veteran’s Tribute featuring AZBio Veterans with music provided by the Rowdy Johnson Band.

WeSalute is a 100% volunteer-managed, non-profit group that is dedicated to celebrating Veteran’s Day Weekend and American Veterans by organizing a special softball game with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team to compete against celebrities on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

All proceeds from the gate go to providing services to Veterans. Before the celebrity softball game, there will be an Arizona Fall League Game and a motor cycle rally.

Join AZBio and MVPvets at CEI on Thursday, November 13, 2014 to learn how hiring Veterans can be a great growth strategy for your business and to enjoy some after hours networking.

Veterans make great leaders,  team members and partners for growing biotech and medtech companies.

Don’t just take our word  for it.  Go to the bottom of this page to see our AZBio Veteran’s Day tribute that includes just a few of the Vet’s working in AZBio Member Companies.

Now AZBio is proud to partner along with AdvaMed, BIO, and Life Collaborative to support our Veterans (and our member businesses) by introducing you to MVPvets.

The mission of MVPvets is to assist with re-careering for thousands of transitioning military veterans in order to help prepare them for meaningful employment in the life sciences. We accomplish this by bringing Veterans, Mentors, and Companies together in a live and virtual collaborative learning environment.

There are three components of the MedTech & BioTech Veterans Program – the Online Collaborative Portal, Live Re-Careering events, and Online training through Life Collaborative.
