Registration is now open for the 2012 Governor’s Economic Development Conference, September 12-14 at the Wigwam Resort.
The 2012 Governor’s Statewide Development conference is a gathering of Arizona’s business and economic development leaders to discuss best practices and the advancement of Arizona in the global marketplace.
The theme this year is The Great Arizona Rebound. Registration is now open.
Additionally, nominations are being accepted for the Arizona Commerce Authority’s 2012 Governor’s Excellence Awards to be handed out during the Governor’s Economic Development Conference in Litchfield Park at the Wigwam Resort, September 12-14, 2012.
These awards honor partnerships, organizations, associations and companies which have successfully created and implemented economic development strategies for their respective regional / rural / metro / tribal communities.
Since 1997, the Excellence Awards have focused on outstanding community projects and have recognized extraordinary efforts that place Arizona in the forefront of economic development. The awards will be given in the areas of: Leadership Development, Economic Development and Innovation Advancement.
- Early Bird Discounts offered throughout July 2012 are of $235 for the conference.
- New this year will be a Governor’s Gala Dinner on Thursday evening, September 13.
While the full conference program will post in August, here is a brief preview of this conference: It will examine industry specific progresses specific to Arizona’s varied regions and communities. These sessions include Arizona’s strategy to secure an Arizona test range for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), emerging opportunities to help entrepreneurs and technology start-ups through incubator models, as well as new technologies in renewable energy, mining and bio-ag.
