Banner Health will host a free seminar sponsored by Banner Health Spirit of Women to examine Alzheimer, Parkinson’s and other neurological diseases to see how the brain and nervous system work together.

According to a report from the World Health Organization, one out of seven people around the world are affected by a neurological disease. While there is no definite way to completely avoid developing a neurological disease, Banner Health medical experts will better explain the inner workings of the brain and nervous system and will provide tips on how to lower one’s risk.

Banner Desert Medical Center will host “A Passport to Your Nervous System,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in the Saguaro Auditorium, 1400 S. Dobson Road.
