Shane C. Burgess, is the dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Arizona. A native of New Zealand, Burgess has worked around the world as a practicing veterinarian, educator and scientist. His areas of expertise include cancer biology, virology, proteomics, immunology and bioinformatics.

Join the City of Maricopa and AZBio in welcoming Shane C. Burgess, Dean of the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Science to learn more about the ground breaking research happening across our state. These efforts enhance agriculture, the environment, our natural resource base, family and youth well-being and the development of local communities.

Following the presentation by Dean Burgess, join us for  field trips to MAC and the USDA facilities to see the wonderful work being done in Maricopa.
