Details:  Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are said to be the key for future innovations in healthcare.  Scientist Justin Ryan believes a crucial component to success is currently missing from STEM: Art! The combination of art and science can lead to novel techniques and technologies in medicine.  Mr. Ryan will discuss an ongoing research initiative at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The presentation will cover the dual role of art and science in medical images, the incorporation of 3D printing into the hospital, and the near-future role of virtual healthcare.
