This seminar will describe best practices and strategies for protecting intellectual property of individual inventors and small businesses. An overview of pertinent patent laws and changes in the law, as a result the America Invents Act, will be reviewed. Specific patent filing strategies tailored to meet the needs of business objectives will be described. Case studies and examples will be presented to illustrate best practices for various situations. Attendees will become more familiar with what a patent is, recent changes in patent law and how best to protect their IP through proper patent application preparation and filing strategies. Questions will be welcomed throughout and at the end of the seminar.

About Your Instructor:
Alex Hobson is a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has more than twenty years of experience working with one of the most innovative companies in the country.
