3-D   Tissue Engineering Under Low Fluid Sheer Forces: Predictive Human Surrogate   Models to Probe the Links Between Cell Function and Disease

Thurs, March 7, 2013

Program begins at Noon

Dr. Cheryl   A. Nickerson, Professor of Life Sciences, Biodesign Institute’s Center for   Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology
Appropriately simulating the 3-D environment in which organs and tissues   normally function is necessary for development of in vitro cultures   that realistically resemble in vivo tissues and organs.

Location:  Biodesign Institute, Auditorium B105, 727 E. Tyler St.,   Tempe, AZ 85287.
