We are finalizing our event lineup, but here is a sneak peek at some of the confirmed speakers and presenters.

Sheryl SandbergSheryl Sandberg is chief operating officer at Facebook, overseeing the firm’s business operations. Prior to Facebook, Sheryl was vice president of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google, chief of staff for the United States Treasury Department under President Clinton, a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and an economist with the World Bank. Sheryl received a BA summa cum laude from Harvard University and an MBA with highest distinction from Harvard Business School. Sheryl is the author of the number-one bestseller Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead and founder of LeanIn.Org, a global community supporting women who lean in to their ambitions. Sheryl serves on the boards of Facebook, the Walt Disney Company, Women for Women International, ONE, V-Day, and the Center for Global Development. Sheryl lives in Menlo Park with her husband, son, daughter, and two fish.

Gloria FeldtGloria Feldt has accomplished visionary goals throughout her career, including her nine-year role as President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She currently teaches “Women, Power and Leadership” at Arizona State University and is the best-selling author of No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think About Power. A public speaker, educator and national leader with a passion for advancing women’s equality, Gloria was named to Vanity Fair’s “Top 200 Women, Legends, Leaders, and Trailblazers.” Her 30 years of CEO experience, public stature, connections with funders and entrepreneurial spirit will ensure the success of Take The Lead.

Barbara BarrettFormer U.S. Ambassador to Finland Barbara Barrett is CEO of Triple Creek Guest Ranch in Montana and board member of Aerospace, Sally Ride Science and RAND corporations. In 2012, she was also Interim President of Thunderbird School of Global Management. Earlier, she served various top diplomatic, defense and aviation/aerospace roles including Ambassador to Finland. She was CEO of American Management Association, President of International Women’s Forum and leadership instructor at Harvard. Before age 30 she was an executive of two Fortune 500 companies. Philanthropically, she is on the boards of Horatio Alger Association, Smithsonian Institution, and Lasker Foundation and previously, Mayo Clinic and Hershey School, among others. Barbara is a pilot and certified astronaut.

Carla HarrisCarla Harris is a Vice Chairman, Global Wealth Management, Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley. In August 2013, Harris was appointed by President Barack Obama to chair the National Women’s Business Council. She is the Chair of the Board of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and sits on the boards of the Food Bank for NYC, The Executive Leadership Council, The Toigo Foundation, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), A Better Chance, Inc., The Apollo Theatre Foundation, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and Xavier University.

Some of the top female journalists will discuss the latest findings in a report by the Women’s Media Center on women in the media. Karen Finney will moderate.

Karen FinneyKaren Finney is a political commentator for MSNBC and hosts the show Disrupt with Karen Finney. Finney’s more than 20 years in national politics includes four presidential campaigns, the Clinton White House, a New York Senate race, and first African American spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee. Finney works with political and corporate clients in the United States and globally in the areas of political and communication strategy, message development, crisis communications, branding, and public affairs.
