Please Join Us  for a Presentation and Discussion of Technology Transfer and Business  Partnership Opportunities  through the United States Department of Agriculture.

The City of Maricopa, in partnership with the Arizona BioIndustry Association, invites you to attend an informal meeting featuring Mr. David  Nicholson, PacWest Tech Transfer Coordinator with the United States Department of Agriculture.

Mr. Nicholson will discuss the USDA’s recent partnership with state and local economic development agencies as well as the USDA’s joint venture program whereby private companies can license USDA inventions and otherwise co-develop commercial products with USDA scientists.

About David Nicholson: 
Mr. Nicholson serves as the Technology Transfer Coordinator for USDA Agricultural Research Service’s Pacific West Area. He is a registered patent attorney and previously served as an Associate Solicitor at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Washington D.C., representing the USPTO in Federal Court litigation. He also served two years in the capacity of Intellectual Property Attache’ at the U.S. Mission to the WTO in Geneva, Switzerland, where he specialized in international trade law related to intellectual property.
