Transplant For Life reaches important milestone in helping heal more lives in Arizona

Transplant For Life (TFL) becomes Arizona’s only FDA registered and accredited independent transplant tissue bank.  Located in Phoenix, TFL is dedicated to enhancing lives in the community by facilitating the gift of transplant tissue donation.

 Transplant for Life

Transplant For Life recently received accreditation from the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). With an unwavering support for its healthcare partners and desire to enhance lives within our community, TFL chose the path of voluntary national accreditation to best demonstrate its deep commitment to quality and excellence. AATB Accreditation ensures all transplantable tissue recoveries in Arizona employ industry best practices to maximize the gift of donation and best honor the selfless gift of donors and their families.

The AATB is a professional, non-profit, scientific and educational association. Recognizing the increasing use of human tissue for transplant, the AATB saw the need for a national organization to develop standards, promote ethics and increase donation. The AATB is the only national transplant tissue banking association in the United States, and its membership totals more than 100 accredited tissue banks and 1,000 individual members. These banks recover tissue from more than 30,000 donors and distribute in excess of two million allografts for more than one million tissue transplants performed annually in the U.S. The overwhelming majority of the human tissue distributed for these transplants comes from AATB-accredited tissue banks.
